This is the movie which supposedly caused Angelina to dump Brad because he was having an affair with his co-star. Ms Cotillard, who is now pregnant, denies having an affair with Pitt. But apart from that, how was the movie?
It has a 13 LSV. Not appropriate for children nor, in my opinion, for young teens, but it is not the sort of movie they would want to watch, I would imagine. The movie has an old world feel to it despite the LSV warning. It is certainly excellent story telling, and to answer my question in the title, it is both.
It is a story of love, doubt, war, patriotism, and human beings.
Everything works very nicely, the acting is good and the plot entertaining.
I give it a solid 8/10. Good date night choice.
