Women of the World, Kass Naidoo

The gorgeous voice of the female cricket commentator on @SABC3 belongs to Kass Naidoo (@KassNaidoo).  In 2003 she shot to prominence as South Africa’s first woman commenting on the sport.

Kass Naidoo, South Africa’s first female cricket commentator.

The voice is housed in an equally attractive body, but that is not what impresses her female fans, like myself. I am not the sporting type.  However, I believe that sport for girls is a vital part of their development and it essential to building healthy communities in which young women take themselves seriously.  Cass Naidoo works to promote the cause of women in sport.

I love her skill as a sports journalist, her knowledge of various social and print media, television and radio.  She is super competent at what she does and she has won awards as a result of this.

Her work raises the brands of Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Proteas Cricket Team.

It is her knowledge about and passion for cricket that singles her out from most other women.  She is married and a mum to three children.  She lives in Johannesburg.
