A little money to spare?

“Invest in art that you love, art that speaks to you, art that you want on you walls – and if it appreciates sharply in value, then you have that as a bonus.” So says Dr Paul Bayliss, curator of the Absa Gallery in downtown Joburg which will be hosting the art auction for raising funds for structural improvements, including seven more studios to The Bag Factory in Newtown/Fordsburg on this, the 25th Anniversary.

The auction will be held on Thursday 17 November 2016 at the Absa Gallery.  It will be conducted by Strauss and Co.  There are over 70 works on display and it is expected that these will sell for as little as R3000 to more than R300 000.

Contact Absa Gallery or The Bag Factory (sara@bagfactoryart.org.za) or 011 834 9181 for more information.
