A foodie movie with an eat-along

So Chef: Movie eat-along at The Bioscope at only R100 per person.  Great value!

On 12 October, an evening will blend gastronomy and cinema for the audience’s pleasure! During the Biocope’s screening of The Hundred-Foot Journey, the audience will have the opportunity to taste food at the same time as the characters on the screen; from recipes prepared by students of the Johannesburg Culinary and Pastry School with Chef Daniel Grondin.

The Hundred-Foot Journey by Lasse Hallström (2014, 2h02) with Helen Mirren, Om Puri and Charlotte Le Bon. The Kadam family leaves India for France where they open a restaurant directly across the road from Madame Mallory’s Michelin-starred eatery.  I have seen this movie and I LOVED it.

This event is brought to you by The Bioscope, IFAS (French Institute of South Africa) and the Alliance Française in Southern Africa in the frame of So Chef!  So Chef! offers a varied programme and worthwhile experiences for foodies and people of all ages, with workshops organised in schools and universities.
Wednesday 12 October at The Bioscope (286 Fox street, Maboneng). Fee: R100 (food included).
