JOHANNESBURG – Wednesday, 31 August. South Africa’s biggest food and music extravaganza, the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, returns to Jozi with a world class musical line-up and an even bigger focus on food and all things culinary.

Food Network celebrity chefs Siba Mtongana, Jenny Morris and Reza Mahammad will meet and entertain visitors at the Food Network pavilion with photo opportunities, food trivia, onstage games and great prize giveaways. Be sure to join the fun with Jenny and Reza for a blindfold food and spice tasting challenge with instant prizes or have a go at Dressing Siba’s Table, with Siba herself selecting winners and offering prizes! This year we will also have a Food Network kids’ area, with the opportunity to win a grand prize presented by Hamleys.

This year will be the first year Travel Channel features at the festival with exciting opportunities for visitors to celebrate a brand new series of House Hunters International Africa, which premiers on Travel Channel (DStv Channel 179) during the first week of October. Travel the world in the Travel Channel photo booth, with the opportunity to play around with backdrops and props depicting exciting destinations.

Siba Mtongana is a young and dynamic food enthusiast who has brought style and charisma to the South African television food scene. Siba’s Table debuted in September 2013 airing in over 90 countries across Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Siba’s Table is now airing in over 128 countries, including the US where the franchise is broadcast to 60 million homes on Cooking Channel. Following its success, Siba has now appeared in Siba’s Table: Fast Feasts, Siba’s Festive Table and a second season of Siba’s Table. She will also be filming a new series of Siba’s Table later this year.

Food Network celebrity chef and ambassador Jenny Morris – AKA The Giggling Gourmet – is one of SA’s most-loved food personalities. Her ongoing love affair with food began in her childhood year, when she started making mouth-watering treats for school fundraisers. “It’s a love affair in the true sense of the word, one that employs all the senses.”

Reza, another favourite Food Network celebrity chef calls himself a ‘hybrid torn between two worlds’, due to the combination of his Indian upbringing and British education. Reza entered the world of cookery at age 16 when he took over the running of the family business, The Star of India Restaurant. Whilst he is primarily an Indian cuisine chef, Reza believes in experimenting with different foods and ingredients from around the world. His love of adding new flavours and dimensions to his traditional dishes has earned him the title of ‘the Prince of Spice’.

Recently Jenny and Reza co-starred in Jenny and Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy. Friends from the moment they met, Jenny and Reza combine their extraordinary knowledge and passion for food by opening the doors of their Food Academy. The remaining 10 episodes of this popular series air from Thursday, 29 September at 21h00 on Food Network (DStv Channel 175).

So whether you are a foodie or a muso get your tickets and get ready for SA’s biggest food and music extravaganza. It promises to be the not-to-be-missed event on the 2016 events calendar. Tickets are now on sale from www.ticketpro.co.za.

The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, presented by Nedbank will take place on Saturday 8 October and Sunday 9 October at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, Johannesburg.
