Lessons from Zoolander 2

Zoolander 2 is silly fun stuff. Directed by Ben Stiller and starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, this spoof on the fashion world has been slated by the American critics.  Ok, the plot is thin, but there are some wonderful family discussion points for tweens and teens in this movie.

  1. Being “really, really, really, really, really, really ridiculously good looking” does not bring happiness.
  2. Confidence in who you really are is as good as a model strut.
  3. Deal with inner issues and then make yourself understood.
  4. Education, enthusiasm and giving 100% scores over looks anytime.

There!  That’s about as good as this is going to get.  It is silly.  It is fun.  There are lessons to be drawn from it.  I’m not, however, recommending it because, inter alia, it features Justin Bieber as himself.
