Last time I posted about Expresso I got a sassy e-mail from someone pointing out it was “espresso”. I pointed out that it wasn’t. 🙂
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday 25 November, 2014 on Expresso we are reminded that holidays are approaching (I’m counting already, don’t need a reminder) and that if you join the Expresso travel community you could drive off with a Kia Soul worth over R200, 000. Now there’s a prize worth getting out of bed for.
Also being discussed is African prints. Did you know that African prints are some of the most sought after in the world? Get the inside scoop on African inspired must-have prints and patterns for your wardrobe, and unleash your inner animal.
Speed freaks can find out what it takes to be a Speedcube World champ as the current title holders join Expresso live in studio just before the Cape Town leg of the championships.
Right, now here’s the bit about one of my favourite summer salads. Gardening specialist, Ben Getz shares his expert tips for successfully growing your own celery and Chef Claire spruces up a Waldorf salad with some sassy ingredients. The original recipe for Waldorf Salad is apples, celery and walnuts, moistened with a little bit of mayonnaise. Fresh, crisp and reasonably wholesome, especially if one replaces a little of the mayonnaise with Greek yoghurt.
Watch Expresso on SABC3 in the mornings.
