Curious Things, A Sleightly Different Display of Magic

One of the many shows I went to see was a magic show, Curious Things, A Sleightly Different Display of Magic.  I am a sucker for magic shows. This one was on the Fiddlers’ Green space in a tent.

The magician was Marcel Oudejans.  The aim was the old fashioned vaudeville feel but the show never quite reached that.  Perhaps the nasty cold weather on the day I saw the show was partly to blame.  It was a difficult venue because of the sound difficulties as well.

I also saw Oudejans in the same venue as part of his other show, One Word Please, an improv comedy show.  The four performers are “The Long Shots” and include Jason Delplanque and two other performers not named in the Festival Programme.

These two works were on the Fringe at the National Festival of the Arts 2014.

One Response to Curious Things, A Sleightly Different Display of Magic

  1. Marcel Oudejans says:

Thanks for coming 🙂 The show is a departure from my normal performance style, so I do agree that there’s work to be done. For the most part, it was well received 🙂
