The main character is a lawyer, “The Counselor”, and one never gets his name. It is difficult to feel much empathy for a character where one doesn’t even have his name. One feels he, as a lawyer, should have known better anyway than to get involved in a drug deal.
The plot is complicated and the death scene at the end unlikely and unsatisfactory although spectacularly gory.
All round I expected more from this cast.
